Check this it out! Found this on one of my favorite blogs Dude Craft. A sphere made entirely of books! It’s being displayed at theMinnesota Center for Book Arts , an awesome and unique (it’s the only one like it in the U.S.) organization dedicated to the book as a vibrant contemporary art form. I’m always impressed by people who make things out of books. Have you seen the book cutting art by artist such as Brian Dettmer? His collection called ‘Book Autopsies’ are featured below.
Designs like these must take literally days to create. I just don’t have the patience for this type of thing. I wonder, do they have some sort of plan or do they just start cutting? Any book artist care to comment?
